I finally figured out what I need to do to take passable pictures of my bike! Turns out that the hott yellow paint can not be photographed in the sunshine, at least not with my meager point-and-shoot skills. Anyway, click on through and see how it came out. I hope y’all dig the look as much as I do!
I usually wrap my drive side chainstay with a thin layer of black cloth tape, but I couldn’t bring myself to cover up these details.
A filthy cassette really makes the clean paint pop. Little trick I came up with. Feel free to use it.
Centaur front derailleur? Sadly, yes. My chain ate my matching Record one in a Tabor mishap last year.
For me, those ugly little frame protectors on the cable housing are a necessary evil.
My painted-to-match 110mm stem is proving to be a bit of a reach for my crappy shoulder, so it’s back to a 100mm for the time being.
Astute observers will notice a spot of bar I missed with the tape. Why Easton makes their bars red instead of black will always baffle me. I’m willing to forgive though, since everything else about these bars is perfect. Also, I would love to be sporting some fresh 11 speed gear, but the 10-speed stuff just won’t die!
With these wheels on, the bike weights in at 15lbs on the button, including pedals, bottle cages, and the speedometer. That would put it at a shade under 14.5lbs weighed like the magazines do it. Steel!

So there you have it, the assembled beauty. It’s painful looking at it every day and not getting to throw a leg over it, but It’ll see action soon enough.

PS: The ongoing pain pill party I’m having leaves me with an incredible urge to watch music videos all day. This has nothing to do with anything, but I really want to share with you one of my all time favorites:
