Dicky Dahl spent a couple of days with me recently to make a short film for an Independent Film Channel series about people who make things (you know… like me). It was a pleasure working with him and his crew. The edited IFC version can be seen  here on VIMEO

I’d like to hear what you think!

  1. Well, I for one like it very much. It’s nice to see real-life use of rolling artwork and the joy it brings. I would also like to see owners talk about how they like their bikes, fun details they discovered about them, favorite rides and how these bikes make those rides even better. I’ll get my own little beastie soon, and will make my own discoveries about it, but it’s fun to share in others’ joy, too.

  3. I loved the analogy of tractors- with all I’ve learned about John Deere (thanks to my 3 year-old) I have an even deeper appreciation for the longevity of beautiful, crafted, utilitarian function. Nicely done.

  4. I like this as well as the one done by Buttered Muffin Productions. It gives the viewer an insight on the person (Sacha) behind Vanilla Bicycles and what you try to achieve when creating a bicycle. It makes the viewer appreciate their bike. And to see it more than just a bike, but as part of one’s life that makes him/her happy.
